Zagara is the fruit of a successful partnership with Roy Cascino‘s Hohenstaufen. A  space of over 8,500 sq ft, exclusively designed and set up for the Shanghai Expo 2010, one of the three areas dedicated to the made in Italy agribusiness. The concept behind Zagara is simple and essential: for quality products, quality ingredients are a must and nothing in the world, at this point in time, has the same standards of quality of Italian products. It isn’t possible to create good traditional and typical Italian cuisine using ingredients that are not coming from our Country.

Zagara represents precisely this: everything, from coffee to the mineral water used to prepare the dough for pizza, including of course the flour, oil and all the other ingredients, have been directly imported from Italy. A successful experiment which has smoothly catered for over 300 customers per day. A success appreciated equally by Westerners and Chinese, and a number of celebrities that attended the exhibition (from international chefs like Heinz Beck to representatives of Italian and Chinese institutions).
